Personality: Cicada is sweet and seems to be I'm a constant state of sleepy confusion due to the medication the doctors have put her on for the voices she hears. She loves to help people, and cares deeply for her other inmates. In the moments when she can figure out what's happening she's rather clever, too.
Brief History: When she was little Cicada's parents didn't really have enough money to feed themselves and her two younger brothers. They noticed how she would talk to her dolls and make believe friends and made the quick decision to send her off to the asylum and promptly left town to escape the doctor's bill. Cicada spent several years being poked and proded in unmentionable ways until she was passed off to her current doctor, who likes her well enough to stuff her full of medication that reduces her appetite considerably and causes her the dementia she now has.
Other Details: Cicada speaks slow and with a slur and while her words are intelligible and her sentences make sense, it can be difficult to get the bigger picture with her. She still speaks to her imaginary friends and refuses to wear shoes. Her actual name is Elizabeth, but it sort of became attached to her nickname, which was given to her due to her tendency to start singing randomly.
